A little help, please…

Help us continue our work as we support writers across DuPage county.

Founded in 1987 by a few writers, the Naperville Writers Group has grown into a vibrant community from all over the western suburbs of Chicago and the country.

We have a two-fold mission.

First, we serve our members by providing a welcoming environment where every writer can develop their craft, building both confidence and skill, with help from their fellow writers.  We meet every Wednesday evening on the Naperville campus of North Central College to read and critique each other’s work.

Second, we serve the community by raising the profile of writers and their art.  We have published Rivulets, our literary review, annually for over twenty years.  We are also very active during National Poetry Month, sponsoring a series of readings each April.  In 2006, at our urging, Mayor Pradel of Naperville issued a proclamation supporting and celebrating National Poetry Month.  Our members, however, are active year-round, participating in readings, contests, and other activities throughout the Chicagoland area and nationally.

Naperville Writers Group is a federally registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
